Introduction

Thank you for visiting my website. I hope that this website gives you some idea of what interests me photographically and I hope that you enjoy the images.

As a starting point I offer the image below. My wife and I spent January and February of 2012 in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. We had never been away for two months and for me it was a special challenge living in a Spanish-speaking country because I do not speak Spanish. San Miguel proved to be an incredible opportunity for photography. In my opinion there are few places that offer as much color, texture and culture as San Miguel. The New York Times invites readers to submit photos to the “Why We Travel” section of the Sunday Travel section. At my wife’s urging I did submit a picture and much to my joy I was contacted that the photo would be published. The publication date was uncertain and I began to lose faith that I’d ever see it in print. A few months after my initial notification I opened the NY Times and there was my photo. To say the least, I was thrilled. I hope you enjoy the photo and that you have a chance to visit San Miguel.
